well i couldnt find a tread that tells me how to get rid of it. im running a jbl gt5? in a 1.6 box, the box has 2 tube ports 2in by 7 inch. im getting what i think is port noise( sounds almost like a whistle) when deep bass notes hit. how can i get rid of said noise?
4" is bigger than 2 2's are
2" port has 3.14" of area
4" port has 12.56" of port
6" has 28.26"
so you see area of a circle is not the same as just adding together
radius x radius x pi (3.14)
but in theory i could add 2 more ports right? or would that be too much? ACTUALLY SHIT JUST CHECKED each of the ports would have to be about 20 inches lol
to much is better than to little when it comes to noise, it will be fine if you add 2 more 2" it is the same area as a 4" port is actually
3.14x4-12.56
well i jusat made the port 4 inches in diameter, by 16 inches. it still makes that darn whistle.... this thing is mocking me. i feel like burning it.( seriously)
