What size midrange are people who have looked into 3-way sets looking for; personally I prefer 2-4".

A compact 3" high power dome mid would be great. {not more than 4" od and not more than 1.5" depth} It would fit in tight spots like where the dash, windshield, and pillar meet. It would have to be crossed over a bit higher like 800hz or so.. but it might be worth it to have something that actually fits well on a dash.

Sonic the bravox 3-way midrange almost meet all of your qualifications its 4.29" od but less then 1.5" depth

Im helping a friend with a '69 camaro build. 3-way memphis comps up front, (6.5" in door, 4" on dash, 1" tweet on A-Pillar). 2-6.5" coax and 2 10" Infinity Reference subs on the rear windshield deck. Sounds amazing. All speakers are powered by a 5 channel memphis Big Belle.
