can my 12 take it? I know, I know, I'm already wanting to upgrade my T1500-1bd. Looking at AB 120.1. I need it louder:p am i going about it the wrong way? should I be thinking 15" or 2 12's.
Thanks

well with a hoe I would have done 2 18's to start off with but I don't have to worry about space

You should definitely just give me the hoe for a weekend and be happy with the results.
2 15"s or 18"s. I've got 8 Kinetik 16v's here. I could build you a wicked hoe system.

I'll sell my 12 for 250 and my amp for 450, so we're looking at 7. Saw a 120.1 for 350 and 15" Omega . Now crx box for 15" and I'm set for another month.:runaround:

oh dude I totally understand ya. all this upgrading is for the birds. I'm at least getting some install experience within the last couple months, but I'm starting a new job on the 8th and I will have zero time for my audio. That is of course, if I leave the hoe with Alex for a weekend:sad5:

Please remember these are conservative ratings. We have several team members giving the subs 3500wrms+ daily and not having problems. Im giving mine 5kwrms each daily and you can ask anyone who has seen them, they could take a little more, again i do have a smaller box though so it allows for a little higher power handling but a 120.1 would do fine on a 15 or 18. Could probably be fine with a 200.1 as well if it were in your price range.

Now you're talking, Im definately picking up what you're throwing down:nod: so what amp could I run on my 12 w/out any worries. Man I thought the T1500 would be alright, but sheesh. I didn't really know too much about the subs though. Why doesn't everyone buy these? and How come Alex does not own some deserted island somewhere and have employees bangin these subs out in factories? is it called selling out in this industry?:dontknow:

thought so, not knocking your subs terra but i really doubt any 3" coils can take a true 5000rms daily, they would thermally fail pretty quick. once again no disrespect to you or your subs.

Haha no really I'm usually the first guy to say that a 3" coil won't like 4k+ on music for ANY length of time. I don't understand why people want to run 5k daily to a 3" coil.

I think the majority of them assume because they have a 5kw amp, they are running 5,000 watts. No idea of imp. rise, voltage drops, power of music vs. sine waves...

yeah, im still learning but i understand that most.
i guess having such a big amp is like having a 20" penis. the thought of having one is cool but would you ever really get to use all 20" of it? not likely

Hahahaha what an analogy!
I'd say the Omega will take up to about 3300rms safely. Anything after that is going to be heavily user/enclosure dependent .

nope this specific coil will not take the power, motor has no cooling to it at all so thermal failure would be in my future if i ran that power.
this specific motor isnt really designed for daily app

Not sure if you talking American Bass amps or any amp in general but I think with the correct electrical you could do a 150.1 or a 200.1 to the 12" no problem.
There is a lot of competition in the car audio market so no one brand can/will dominate. The Omega is an amazing sub but there will always be something out there with higher power handling or something that sounds better. We try to make a very well rounded SPL sub though and I think we have just that.
