Default Box Design request for hollatchaboy

1. Car. Year, Make, Model: 06 Subaru Legacy Wagon

2. Subs. Make, Model, Size, How many: (2) RE Audio SX

3. Power. How much power per sub: about 650-700RMS per sub, so 1300-1400 total

4. Goal. SPL or SQ: i'd like both. currently have a 4 cubic foot ported box tuned to about 28-30hz and it sounds great, peaks at about 143 but i'd like to squeeze some more out of it. possibly a t-line or whatever else you guys could recommend.

5. Sealed or ported: Anything but sealed.

6. Sub/port placement: Whatever would be best... (subs/port back? subs up/port back?)

7. Max dimensions: W: 42" H: 17" D: 28"

8. Desired NET vol and tuning(optional):

9. Finish: N/A building it myself

10. Zip code for shipping: N/A

11) Additional comments: I don't even know what to try in this position. I don't know much about anything but sealed or ported boxes. I love lows, and i love the feel of heavy bass, but don't want to lose too many freq's considering i have a fairly flat response across the board. I'm willing to pay for a design as long as it'll work!

I'm getting that it's coming out to about 11.5 cubes net

I take it that you're not interested in buying more woofas and power, correct?

T-line is possible, more than likely a folded horn is going to be your best bet though. Good luck, I'm not quite good enough at designing just thought I'd throw my input out there for you

Note - The EASIEST way to pick up, with that much room, is to add more power and more woofers...

yea, this i'm quite aware of. i went from having 2 18's in a wall running off almost 4000 watts to 2 12's at 1300 watts so you can imagine i'm itching to get louder. i just had to take the 18's out a few months ago to make my daily driver more of a daily driver, haha. I also went from running 3 batteries to just one so i don't really want the electrical stress/weight of mucho power. plus, i just want this setup to not be as big, i'm trying to focus all of my work/time on my new project... a 79 buick skylark that's gettin 4 15's and somewhere between 18-20 highs inside.
