Year, Make, Model:
1999 Chevy Blazer 4 Door
Make, Model, Size, How many:
(2) Skar VVX-12 Dual 4 ohm
How much power per sub:
They are rated at 600 rms each, but I will be feeding them around 1000 rms each off of a Crescendo [email protected]
SPL or SQ:
SPL with ability to still hit teh lows
5. Sealed or ported
6. Sub/port placement
Preferred subs on top, port on back, but open to suggestions.
7. Max dimensions
Base of seat to hatch/tailgate: 36"
Top of seat to hatch/tailgate 33" (These two, I'm sure you already know, but this will be right up against the tailgate/back wall, as in less than an inch or inch and half of room between the box and back. Port needs to have room to breathe)
Height to top of seat: 16", But the box can be 20" tall at most.
Wheel well to wheel well: 37.5"
**The only key things are that I will have an amp rack that is 11" deep, the direction from the backseat to the tailgate. So the two depths are really 22" and 25". **
8. Desired NET vol and tuning
Skar calls for about 2 cu ft. per sub, so in the 4-5 neighborhood. Also wanting what is best for my goal as previously stated, high 20's to mid 30's, whatever would work best.
: I would be having someone else build and upholster it, but if it helps with design any, the enclosure will be carpeted, and my amp rack will be painted or powdercoated.
