1996 Jeep Cherokee Country
(1) SSA Zcon 18" D1
(1)1 SoundQubed 2200.1D
Aiming for a happy blend of sql.
5. Sealed or ported
: Ported, of course.
6. Sub/port placement
:Trying to keep the sub to the left side of the box so it will sound even to the driver's seat instead of blaring straight up the middle of the vehicle. Also trying to keep the sub aimed at back hatch, port placement can be sub surface or top. Sides/back there isn't enough room to dissipate the air flow.
7. Max dimensions
:38" wide, 24" tall, 22" deep. Might can go taller, but depth and wide are maximum, I'm trying to keep from sacrificing any more of my rearview. I have about 4" left between front of box/sub surface and my trunk hatch. I have 40" total available from fenderwell to fenderwell inside my trunk area, trying to keep it open enough to mount my box/keep from sliding around.
8. Desired NET vol and tuning
(optional): Trying to keep with SSA's Recommendations on the sub. 9 cubic feet, and 30-31 hz.
10. Zip code for shipping
: Shopping for a design.
11) Additional comments
: I'm trying to keep a happy blend of musical but also powerful. I want the sub aimed at the hatch so it will have something to bounce off. If you think it will sound and perform better facing up, run it. Port placement is optional, I'm trying to keep an aero port for the sake of space, but if we can fit a slot/L port, run it.
Double baffle/flush mount:
Round over all port edges inside and out: No thank you.
Round over all outside edges: No thank you.
45's in all inside corners: If it'll help airflow and is an easy build, sure.
Kerfed port: No Thank you.
Kerfed walls:No thank you.
Slanted back:No thank you.
Paint inside of port:No thank you.
Thanks in advance. Hoping I can get a good design by the 14th.
