Default WTB: Home Sub Enclosure Design

I'm looking for someone that can design an efficient box for a Home Audio setup using an Obsidian 18v1 and a 500w plate amp. I'll discuss more details with anyone interested.

I have tested that amp about a bazillion times. I know what it does clean, clipped, dirty, loaded, unloaded, wired down, low voltage, good voltage, after it hot, while it's cool, on caps, on batts, where it protects, what's thermal limits are and just about anything else anyone would care to know about it.

But thanks for chiming in. Your opinion is duly noted.

If you have no luck here, there are some real knowledgeable and helpful people on this forum REW Forum at Home Theater Forum and Systems - HomeTheaterShack.com

I was able to get a nice design for my 18" xbl^2 xxx on there quickly.

what are your output goals? my most successful designs for home use have been down firing, oversized sealed boxes (to avoid tuning peaks and creating a smooth response) with light polyfil. for an 18 like that i'd say 6-8 cubes.

Great sounding for HT use as well as good output for music. I'd like to go with some type of ported enclosure. I had discussed a T-line that I was told would be around 10 cubes with Evan "surreal" on here but never got a finished plan. Thanks Eucoph, I'll try that forum out.

Evan is actually a local acquaintance. He's very knowledgable about not just enclosure design, but cabin/room response as well. A long t-line tuned low would be really cool, just have to be careful putting the full 500 watts to it

Would you happen to have a contact for him? I'd be very interested in having it done by him. He's done some great work for me in the past and I like his work overall.

Eucoph, I made a couple threads on that forum. Seems like a nice place. Thanks
