Default 2005 Lincoln LS box

1) Car. Year, Make, Model: 2005 Lincoln LS
2) Subs. Make, Model, Size, How many: 2 Alpine Type R 12's
3) Power. How much power per sub: 500w rms each
4) Goal. SPL, SQ, SQL:SQ
5) Sealed or ported: i listen to rap so whichever is best.
6) Sub/port placement:wherever its best
7) Max dimensions: dont know
8) Desired NET vol and tuning(optional):
9) Finnish:carpeted
10) Zip code for shipping: 77584
11) Additional comments: i want the box to be like this. will it beneficial or do i need a bigger box?. I want my trunk space but if its better to have a bigger box than that, it will do also but prefer something like this.

Do you have the 6x9's in the rear deck?

Since I also have an LS I will take some measurements and see what I can do.

I'll post the measurements up here also so other people can send you quotes as well.

OK, Assuming nothng has changed from 02 - 05 in the trunk (I know there were a lot of other changes) You can go 12" high without removing the cover piece and rear speakers/amp, you can go 30" wide before the carpet bumps up over the rear suspension mounting points and depth is only limited by how much space you want to give up.

If you want to go with a wedge shaped box to line up with the angle of the rear seats the top of the box needs to be 5" shorter than the bottom.

The first pic you see actually has trim panels on it, so it wouldnt be flush like that without them.

The best option for listening to rap would be ported, so you will need a larger box

Depth would be about 14-15"

2 Type-R 12's ported will not fit in that space. Your talking about 2.33 ft^3 gross that you have to work with.
