Default Box request for Steagan

Hey ya'll,

I'm looking for a sub enclosure designer/builder with the ambition, skills and vision to take on what I consider a bit of a challenging build. Please read on and hit me up if you think my idea is possible and even worth the trouble. I'm open to suggestions on box design and sub brand/model, considering the size limitations of my idea. Thanks for your time.

1)*Car:*2013 Audi S4
2)*Subs:*1 Sundown SA-12, but open to suggestions. Want big bass
3)*Power:*At least 750 RMS
4)*Goal:*Blend of SPL snd SQ
5)*Box type:*Sealed or ported if possible, need advice
6)*Sub/port direction: Any, need advice
7)*Max dimensions: Roughly 18x26x2.5"
8)*Desired NET vol and tuning (optional): about 1 ft^3 if sealed
9)*Finish: Carpet
10)*Zip code for shipping: 21044
11)*Additional comments: I need advice on the feasibility of my idea, since keeping trunk space and spare tire access is a high priority. I currently have a .6 ft^3 fiberglass box with an mdf baffle, built for a 10" sub, designed to fit into a cubby space in the side of my trunk. I would like a narrow, tall, long (see dimensions above) mdf or birch box that I could add on to the fiberglass box (with bolts and wood glue) to increase airspace to around 1 ft^3 to fit a 12" sub. Since the box must be so narrow, the sub cutouts must align almost perfectly to fit the mounting depth of a 12" sub. I can see the design in my head...I know it's not an ideal box, but if pulled off correctly, I think it could be pretty efficient, and it would be pretty f'n sweet. I think a ported box could be an option, but I'm not sure since the box will have to be so narrow...plus, I have no idea how to tune a box with a port, so not sure if that's a good idea or not.

If you're an ambitious builder and willing to take on the challenge of my design/idea, or if you have any ideas or suggestions you'd like to share, hit me up. Thanks for your time.

Kind regards,
Steagan

I also offer sever options you can add if you would like. Please note these are options*I*offer and other builders may offer more or less options. If you want something you don't see listed feel free to ask.

commit more room, and you can have bass.

my suggestion would be 16x16x30+
it'll hide under your rear deck and you'll still have trunk space

Hey, thanks for the advice, sonic. I considered the rear deck...that's where the factory sub is...but I don't like the idea of that much weight under the rear deck, nor the space a box hanging down into my trunk would take up. The fiberglass cubby box I have makes good use of wasted trunk space...Audi did a poor job designing the trunk; I just hope it's feasable to expand on the enclosure a bit to get a 12 back there. Thanks again.

Damn, maybe my plan isn't as feasable or sensible as I originally thought. Perhaps I will be stuck with my lil ol' 10" sub.
