Default '00 Neon (6) 15"s 4th Order Wall

Out with the old, in with the new (eventually). This build will be done entirely by me in my spare time, so it's not going to be very fast. Completion date should be a little after Thanksgiving. Here goes!

The old box. It was a quick build with a very tight budget and almost no real tools.

And its out. Only took about 30 minutes, lol.

Starting on the floor. Everything is bolted and glued. There will also be bolts holding the back of the box through the wheel well, and I might incorporate the rear seat belts somehow.

Getting the floor figured out. There's gonna be a lot of weight behind me.

After scouring the house, I realized that my living room clock had the same cutout as the subs, lol. Apart it comes.

Baffle layout. Each side will have (3) 15"s, with the back two being inverted. Each side is about 6 ft^3 before displacement.

Boxes are almost done. You can see the angle part to allow the back of the box to conform to the wheel well. The notch is for the slope of the rear glass.

No more rear deck. The pillow is for when I must give people rides. I was ruined in the grinding from the hot metal shards.

Cutting out the baffle.

Here's the layout. Subs are Q-Power Qcomp 15"s. I don't haz all the money.

Another angle.

Getting the second baffle on. I ran out of glue after the first baffle, so the second one will have to wait!

Freakin' mess on my front porch. It's times like this that I'm glad I live by myself.

Supposedly. Rumor is that there was a bunch of leftover parts for the comp line when Kicker decided to change it up, and those parts were "transferred" to Q-Power for the cheap. Each sub is about $60 shipped, lol.

Thanks man! These modeled up pretty well and should get nasty at 40-50 hz. I only have ~1800 watts to work with so I wouldn't really get use out of a more powerful driver. I really wanted to get the "Deluxe" models from Q-power, but I can't find the 15"s anywhere, only the 10"s (Which Surreal sells BTW). To get the same amount of cone area with the 10"s I would have to spend a LOT more money.

BTW: Port will be 280 in^2 tuned to about 48ish.

Nooo you made the purchase already! Haha. Thanks for the reference though.

I think I have some audiopipe 15s I could sell a lot of 3 for like 150.. Well see as I should be ordering one soon to see for myself.

Build looks sweet though. Love cheap builds. On with the show!
