Default Single sa-8 in a 4runner

I got this last week and it's time to build a box for my wife's truck for this little monster. It will be .67 cf sub facing down. I have a 3 day weekend so I'll put some work into a nice little box.

Seems basic, but I'm interested in finding out how it goes - I'm thinking of installing one for my girlfriend too.

Down firing has been my favorite in a few installs I've done. In for how it sounds/looks too.

Ya it will be fairly basic, we are covering the box with some kind of design. She is still deciding what she wants. It should sound good!

It will be functional to, we use her truck allot so this way nothing gets damaged. I got her amp in the mail last night, It needs a small repair but it was $10 mtx 600xd. I'll give you a demo when I finish in a few weeks.

Definitely functional, had a similar situation with my cousin's lexus because he constantly used the trunk, kids/work stuff, did a downfire in that and it sounded awesome. I'd love a demo, I'm switching my setup up AGAIN lol so hopefully mine will done around the same time.

Which way you gonna fire the port?

I was thinking to the back. But I'm not set on it yet. What are you changing your setup to?

Granted my build was a trunk but I did the same, towards the back and it had a great response, I think toward the opposite side would be good too, guess it depends on the vehicle of course. Going back to 4 8's, still be a loud daily setup but it will be built for DB drag.
