Default Radioactiv's rebuild- 4 SA-15s Walkthrough

Hey guys, I figured I needed to get back on here and show some love, ive been busy rebuilding. The Ranger blew 2 tires in 2 weeks so I said screw it, i parked the truck, I ordered new Toyo ATs, got a new bed and started sanding down on the truck.

I got my subs in, and started on the box, the goal is to have this playing by the end of April.

The box is a 4th designed by me, I had some help from DJ and Jared from Team Nemesis, and 727Designs. Its around a 2.2-1 ratio but it is subject to change if it doesn't work out well.

For power I will be useing a SAZ-2500 at .5 nonimal until I can get a bigger amp or get another 2500 to strapp. For the electrical ill be useing my 200amp rebuilt alt and 2 Optima G34s to hold me over. The idea is to buy my buddys 270amp Singer, then add some C&D 102ahs in the back.

Enough of my babbling, onto the nudes...
What started it all

New bed

Wheels being painted

Poor Ranger

Little bit of paint

Start on the box

A bit of bracing

Cutting the strippers

Back wall

1st Port

I went to Daytona a few weeks to early

Pole check

Baffle time

Got her in

Bracing

There they are

Lots of work

Port paint

Gonna need/want more power (you know this already) but looks real good so far. Im gonna be runnin 2 d2 sa15s on saz3500 @ .5 and if/when they bite the dust I plan to recone to d4s and get two more. 4 sa15s is pretty healthy you should be moving a good bit of air.

I used the sand blaster on them, and alot of heavy coats of primer, still have to sand and hit the gloss with the gun, electrical wise, we shall see lol

I plan on either a 4500 @.5 or bigger, or another 2500 at 1 ohm a piece.

i'd do this. it'd be ALOT more efficient than one big amp at .5. and still be plenty of power. looks real good man. you may want to add a horizontal brace in the middle of the shell if it becomes and issue, but other than that you look pretty set!

The plan is to screw 2x4s all down the side of the box for bracing there. Theres a few already on it but you cant see in the pics.

Ive always like the look for 2 amps better.
