Wink 2006 Chevy Colorado rebuild

This is Chris Parrilli's Colorado who used to compete in MECA S2 & S3.
We are basically making this truck now into a baddazz demo monster & will be used as a points chaser, & used in bass race.
The equipment being used in this set up will be:
2 15" TSNS's
4 Team Crossfire BMF1700's
5 Kinetik 3800's (for now 5 xspower 3100's)
4 Crossfire XS M8 8" Hi-Outout Mid-Bass Drivers
More equipment to be named later when the decision is made.
Now on with the pics.

Box that is in there now.

That is all we have done so far on the build more pics will be updated during the week.

Looks nice man. Why are your plans for the box then? I see a lot of space in the bed for creativity.

I'm tuned in

Well we have tried 2 box's in the vehicle already with this setup, & a wall.
The first thing we did was wall it & it was a total flop. Me & a buddy said it was going to be because of the subs having a narrow loading chamber from front to back. Just built it because the guy paid us to & then we got to rub it in his face when it was a flop lol.
The next box we did was sub up port up in the middle & plays loud, loud & clear. That box did a 146 sealed on the dash with a crapscendo 5500. Then we hooked up 2 of the Crossfire BMF1700's strapped on the pair of tsns's & it was a night & day difference. We jumped 2 db just by doing an amp swap out lol.
We built another box last night & now it is subs forward port firing up in the middle. That box ended up doing a 149.1 sealed on the dash, 153.2 in the kick. Peak freq on the dash was 42hz & in the kick was 47hz. It plays good on music, but doesn't get that feeling it did with the sub up port up box. It does get violent with the passenger door closed with window up & drivers door open though. The next enclosure design we are going to try is sub forward port firing up along the back, & and also sub up port up with port firing up on the drivers side.

I will add a pic of the enclosure we have in there now later today, just got a ton of family stuff that is going on today lol...

Ok a little update on the build. We tested a couple of box's we had laying around the shop. First test was my old ssnw box I had in my Tiburon it was doing a 155.4 with 2 lampshade 15's. In the Colorado it did not like haveing the box facing forward like I had it in the Tiburon. We faced it up & it did a 151 @ 56hz. We then tryed a box similiar like the one that is goin in there for daily subs forward on a slant with an 8" aero port firing up, that did a 147.6 @ 40hz. Now on with some updated pics.
Enclosure that was in my ssnw Tibby.

The construction of the new dailey demo whore enclosure, it will be subs forward on a slant with a 10" areo port firing up.

Those don't look like lampshade 15's, they look more like SA-15's or nightshade 15's lol

It looks good though, I can only hope that my build log on here will result in decent number in TL
