Default Obsidian/Sundown Escalade build

I've been slowly working on this build since June when the obsidian 18's finally came in from the first pre-order. Everything is done other then wrapping the console and box in leather/vinyl. I've had it playing for a couple weeks now, but I haven't had time to do any tuning or testing. Once I do I'll post vids and numbers. I'm definitely very happy with these subs, they're holding up pretty well so far considering I'm putting almost 5x the rated power to each sub.

equipment list:
Pioneer avh-p4300dvd head unit
XS power d2400 under the hood
XS power d3100 in the back (will eventually be 2)
Sundown 4500d
2 Obsidian OA-18's

Box specs:
11.5 cubes net
4 6" aeroports, 17" long
tuned to 32hz
double baffle with internal bracing

Now on to the pics

This is what everything is going into

this is the false floor that will bolt down using the stock cargo tie down holes, and cover the entire cargo area. the box will be screwed down to this, and all wiring ran under it.

This is the beginning of the center console between the rear seats that will hold the rear batteries.

here it is with all the edges rounded over and the lid cut flush and rounded.

Filled all the screw holes with wood filler

The height of the console looks high in the pics, but in person when your sitting in the back seats it's perfect.

What could this be?

Mmmmm aero ports.

I've never used 6" aeroports before, they're huge in person.

On to the wiring, single run of 1/0ga power and ground from front battery to rear.

the main power/ground wires from the front battery come up through the bottom of the console, and the 2 runs of power and ground going to the amp come out of the back of the console.

And here is how it sits for now, eventually the console will be upholstered in leather with a perforated leather strip stitched down the middle of the lid to match my factory center console between the front seats. and the box will be wrapped either in leather or vinyl.

And that's it for now.

thanks guys!

here is a quick video I took the other day, I'm still going easy on these subs so this is nowhere near full tilt. once I have everything tuned in I'll make a better video.

I have zero problems with people having a shop or other enthusiast do their build. But it's a little disrespectful they take credit for it and/or don't correct people when they assume the owner did the work. Happens all the time.
