Should've done this sooner, but as of right now I'm content with where I'm at before moving on to the next upgrade.
This is how the truck looks like right now. Truck is named Nori, per my wife's tradition of naming all our vehicles. I take him through some pretty rough Arizona terrain; this is not a mall crawler. Suspension is by Toytec (Ultimate lift kit; 3 inches)
This current build is an upgrade over my last small system that I had since this past spring. Old system included a Skar 1500.1 amp, with 2 8 inch Skar VVX subs running at 2 ohm. I didn't change the components, which are Image Dynamics CTX65CS 6.5s, powered by Sundown 100.4 amp. The upgrade consists of the amp: Digital Designs M3, and the subs, 2 Sundown SA15s running at 1 ohm. As far as the head unit, I don't have one, I use an iPad or my iPhone as the source. Here how the signal is ran: idevice to HRT iStreamer DAC. This is a relatively high quality digital to analog converter, which is better than any of the DAC chips in almost all mobile audio headunits. This signal is then sent to a Clarion 7 volt line driver and an equalizer. The result is a very good signal and a pretty damn good audio quality output (limited by the quality of the mp3 file, of course. Lossless files are best, like FLAC)

The setup is not clean and that is due to two reasons. This build seems to go through constant dynamic changes, so I don't want to finish it up with a final look yet. The second reason is that work takes me through various shady neighborhoods, and I gotta park the truck overnight. With it being my daily driver I want to attract as little attention as I could to my vehicle. Almost looks like my radio is stolen.

Sundown 100.4. I know its messy, but its hidden with the seats folded up, which is my exact intent with this setup.

It is summer time and its time for bumping. Once the weather gets down to reasonable temperatures again I will be using Nori for his original purpose: to explore this amazing and beautiful state of Arizona. I will be changing the build once again to something small, maybe go with one IDQ for the season change in the later fall-winter (I will be needing the space for camping and necessary supplies for myself and the dog should I break down. Lots of water, food, emergency gear). This is what I've taken Nori through (pretty reckless in retrospect, considering some of my runs I'm flying solo or with just my dog). But I risk it for the sake of exploration of Arizona's beauty:

But as you can see, I don't treat my truck like a mall crawler ha. Arizona's pinstriping is killing me, though.

This was SIGNIFICANTLY more difficult than it looks. Even with a 3 inch suspension lift, and larger tires I still kissed a rock with Nori's belly along the best line. A storm is threatening as well. FUN!
