Default alt bracket mod

94 suburban custom alt bracket. never bust over sized metal bracket. alot of people already know what happened with the suburban alt bracket. well here is my fix to the problem. i thought of just getting a new p/s alt bracket but then i would still have the risk of it busting off again so this is my lil project to eliminate any future problems. i extended the bracket downward to mount a 2nd alt but once i started cleaning it up for paint i found a crack in the case. so for now the singer alt will be running solo until i get another case or make it into someplace that has a tig. more to come tomorrow. the bracket has to sit for about 6 hours then it will get a 4hour long oven bake treatment and then sit for another 8 hours before being installed.

i would have had this done is less than a day easy if i had full use of both of my arms. my right arm is only up to about 60% functional so it took alot longer than i wanted it to.

its not to bad doing something like this. just takes more time. the hardest part was using my 6lbs hammer for fine adjustments for the angles. most of the metal cuts are done with clamps and big cut off tools. the welding is the easiest part. now like what i have been doing today instead of finishing this project is changing out a radiator in a 06 impala. im currently on a pain relieve break. the owner is going to be all sorta ticked. once i got it out i noticed water coming out of the hyd lines for the tranny. his internal cooler breached.

wish i could give the arm a break. bills are racking up and i had about 3 weeks of no money coming in. the arm got all the rest that i can afford. as for german cars, im not so keen on the german thing. as for manual transmissions, i truly wish every car/truck would come with them and automatics would still be for those that are disabled like what they where when they first came about. a manual is far more dependable, better mpg, more power directed to the wheels, far less moving parts, 5x the life span, easier to customize, much high torque handling, and if your starter goes out all you have to do is park on a hill.
