Default journey to 150 db. for under 1k

this is an extension of my flxx audio build log.

The setup is 4 flxx audio FA 15's and a planet audio big bang amp.

4 flxx FA 15's - $340
Planet Audio BB 2400.1 - $215
2 Sams club group 31 deka betteries. $305

Wire and wood don't count lol. I already had all the wire ran so nothing was spent, and I dont know how much was spent.

did a 146.2 legal, then i threw the mic in the kick and opened the door all the way up

the 48.5 was usaci.

The entire box is 1 layer, with NO internal bracing. lots of room for improvement.

10.89 cubes net tuned to 33 hz. 13.5 sqinches of port per cube.

amp is wired to .5

my phone is my mp3 player, so no vids till I find a flashdrive lol

if you get lucky maybe you can pick up a second bb2400.1 for cheap to stay under the 1k and hit that 150

plenty of guys have done over a 150 with 1500 watt amps.

the entire back panel is removable. so lots of stuff to play with.

Keeping my hopes up. and those subs cant handle another amp.

I think a 150 is within reach with that gear - but gonna need to make some major adjustments.

1. Get rid of that big lip at the top of the back of the box - round it over.
2. Get rid of the sharp edges inside and outside of the enclosure - especially around the port, aeroports will also gain over the slot port...
3. Space looks tight, but can you move the batteries in front of the box? Really need to keep the area around the port unobstructed.
4. Shrink the box down a couple cubes and tune higher, mid to high 40's.

1. big lip is there so when I add baffles to the top.

2. yea i know i'm lazy, gonna order a 10" metal aero once i get around to it

3. no room in front of box. already have 4 runs to the back that wont reach there either.

4. Will do very soon. I've been talking to some guys and that seems to be the general consensus. Only thing is I don't want it to turn into a fartbox. I need to be able to play 30. it plays down to the 20's now. according to my woofer tester the enclosure is tuned to 26. might have something to do with how the batteries are, almost acting as a port? idk.

you are tuned low, so it probably sounds good...contradiction to getting louder SPL....u will have to make it more fart box-ish.
