Default The start of my honda cvic SC9518 build

Started my build with birtch ply wood,I use mdf for the most part and im tring some new stuff on this build. Like a 18''sub,crown staples, silicone. So far so good just a little choppy. Here are some pictures of the start. Will finish as soon as my 1-1/2 roundover router bit makes it to me. While im waiting ill start welding the battery box amp rack combo bracket.

Default Day 2 of the build

On day 2, weld the battery box amp rack combo mount.,I love to weld so it made for a fun time. All went as planed with the fab and off to paint.I kinda skip around because of the wait for the router bit. Keep in mind that I dont use full days due to the fact that my wife would kill me. Let me know what you think so far.

Are you going to glass the inside of that box? That seam on the back doesn't look too solid.

Default On the glass

I have a brace that is on that seam but glass is not a bad idea. I got some fiberglass when i thought of the build. Talked to a guy at DD audio and he told me not to glass it. Me myself i say it couldnt hurt. Just a new smell in the car for alittle while lol. Most likely will do it and some 45s on the port.

Default just got the bit

Just had the router bit come in today and some more second skin going for a third layer on the roof. Looks like i can finish the box tomorrow or at least router it and finish the roof. Hope to out do my 149.7db of last year.

Default Day 3

Day 3 router and cut the second front. Its too cold to glue or glass outside today so ill have to wait. That router bit is awsome but huge. I had to make a new router plate to fit it. Here are some pictures of the top, just needs mounted. mount and glass are yet to come.
