4 arms, 3 legs, and a testicle most likely. Some shops are better than others on pricing though. My trusted local shop carries Audison and prices on everything reflect it. They do strong installs though.

How many hours did you put into it? Shops charge $55/hr or more .

Figuring up the price AFTERWARD.. never works.

The deal is simple. His defense will be that he would not have agreed to all of it if he knew the price. {the judge will agree/believe him}

You need to figure up your time and discount it for the fact you were not in a hurry.
You also need to figure your hourly rate.{$15 per hour is fair}
You don't get to charge a 'shop rate' because you are not a shop. {which is why you are in this situation}

This is a hard lesson learned. If you are lucky, he won't counter-sue you for what you did to his car. {he will win that case also}

the best you can hope for is him to give you back / allow you to remove things which are removable which you installed.

You do have the right to sue him.{anyone can sue anyone for anything}

If you don't use a lawyer, you might break even as long as it goes in your favor and you don't get counter-sued.

Your best bet would be to get written quotes from shops in your area to justify your pricing. Reciepts for material would help for the itemizing part also.

^^ Good point Sonic

Default I know I am a jerk for saying this.

To be honest, I would not pay more than the cost of the equipment for that install.

If you had taken the time to make your 'custom panels' actually fit the car, it might be worth something.

As it is, you should be able to remove the whole mess rather easily.

i wouldve hid the amps mounting feet also..look ALOT cleaner

really to finish it out half assd like that.. id charge like 175 200bux just to install etc.. JUST A LITTLE more effort wouldve actually made it look presentable

I think it's probably because that sub is not moving enough to allow it to cool.. Id turn the gain up a bit so it moves more for cooling reasons.. That's why it's hard on subs to be underpowered..
