Default woofer cookers new build log

Ok folks today I'm heading up to my dads garage to try to make a little progress on my new build. As most of you know my escalade was stolen at the beginning of February and I lost everything but subs and wiring. And subs were all cut up with a knife so slowly I've been trying to rebut everything. This build is going in my 97 suburban. So far I have bought 2 ns1's, 2 New zv3 18's for a total of 6, a new 200.4, a quad alt bracket, 3 380a externally regulated alts for 16v side, a 250a alt for 12v side, 2 modified regulators to handle higher amperage, and a Samsung tab2 10.1. I am ordering 4 recones this week for 4 cut up 18's so all that's left for equipment is Hu and batts. I have a Kenwood 995 I will be using temporarily so I can get up and running. Plan on using 997 so I can bt to tablet. And I have 4 crescendo 6.5's and 2 ft1 black series super tweets with crossovers but still need 2,10's. Will be switching to neos during season.and I bought 6 sheets of birch last weekend to get me started so ill need 14-or so more. Anyways getting ready to leave now. Goal today is to do bracket so I can figure belt length and shell everything out or rear of truck. Maybe even get some birch in today. Ive had a few mechanical issues over the last couple weeks so I've been held up. Truck sat next to my garage for 2 years. Bound to happen. Ans I just had tranny rebuilt since I'm adding all this weight. Will get pics today.

What are the 2 modified regulators your talking about? Or do you mean rectifiers?

I think it's probably because that sub is not moving enough to allow it to cool.. Id turn the gain up a bit so it moves more for cooling reasons.. That's why it's hard on subs to be underpowered..

No regulators are modified as well for higher amperage. He said he's had problems with them unless he modifies them with these alts

Wierd. Is he using the transpro regulators? And you say only 2 regulators but at least 4 alts. Is it one regulator for 12v one for 16v?

Yes the blue transpo regulators. I can only run 2 alts per regulator. So 3 alts charging 18-19 and the 4th alt is 12 v internally reg. I might add a 4th alt to the 16v side and do a bracket off my ac unit for my 12v alt
