Cool First time welding a steel cage. Jeep Grand Cherokee c-pillar wall rebuild.

My first wall in the Jeep broke some stuff and water leaked in and got the wall all nasty and moldy so it had to be destroyed.
It consisted of ten entry level Audio Technix Tropo 10s on a Crescendo bc5500 and barely did 150db at 29hz.

This rebuild will be less subs and slightly more power but should be a lot louder.
This will take a while, because it is being squeezed in between my customer's builds, so be patient.

Cut 1/16" sheet metal to fit where the glass was in the rear side windows.

First weld ever. Yea I suck but I am getting much better. At least it is sealed up and won't leak ever again.

Body Filler.

Good enough for now =)

Welded as much as I could outside of the Jeep. Welded the four pieces together inside the Jeep. Worked out very well.

Wired up the front battery.

Wrapped the back of the wall in white vinyl.

Welded a simple little battery tray and wired up some batts.

Pretty much have the back of the wall ready for one big ass amp.

I think it's probably because that sub is not moving enough to allow it to cool.. Id turn the gain up a bit so it moves more for cooling reasons.. That's why it's hard on subs to be underpowered..

Those 1/8" gaps are due to the cage being slightly warped and the wood not lining up as they would if the cage were perfectly square. Rather annoying. They are all filled in now though.

Baffle is coming along...
