Default Enclosure Build: 2 12" HDC4's, kerfed, angled, next level.

Alright guys, I've got another build for Wooferwarehouse.com for a pair of HDC4's that should be a bit different...

Specs come to:

-3.75 cubic feet net
-37hz tuning
-46.22 sq inches of port area

It's on the smaller-side but he'll be running a lot of power so that may not be such a bad thing.

The design:

^Mirrored the original design so the port will be on the other side

Got a good bit of the pieces cut tonight...

More tomorrow

I can't wait to get this thing playing. Here is the hatchback it will be going into. I'm aiming for 150+

Current temporary setup until the new box is finished.

And the equipment:

2 SoundQubed HDC412's on 2 AQ 3500's

Currently I have a 200 amp Singer alt, a d3400 up front and a d3100 in the trunk. I will be adding 1-2 more d3100's and eventually will be looking at a getting a bigger alt. Unfortunately I will have to get a custom bracket made if I want to get a bigger alt to be able to fit a bigger housing since it sits so close to the engine.

I'm thinking so. He seems to do fantastic work. I just hope the airspace and port area are enough. I'm likely inverting the subs since the HDC4 motors are massive and would take up a lot of internal volume.

Nice! Looks good man. Is the 3.75 before or after displacement of the sub? Do you happen to know how much displacement these subs take up in a box?

I had a pair of 12" hdc4's in a 5.9 cu ft enclosure with a 10" port tuned to 31 hz which did a 151.6 at 32 hz in a trunk of a honda accord. It was off a saz-3500 at a .25 ohm. Good times

I believe they were .18?
