Just a quick little box build I started yesterday and finished today after school for a customer. 1.2 cubes net with 14 sq in of port tuned to 36 hz. Going in a 2013 Chevy 1500 4 door truck. Should sound awesome on the 2 Kicker IX1000.1's he'll be running.
Yeah, but for as much power as he's running, and the design and layout of the box, this optimized the room that he had quite well. Going to by playing by this weekend I heard...
I'm not doubting that you know what you're doing. Looks like you do great work.
I've ran a set of 1508's in a 2.5 cu box with 17" port per cu tuned to 34 hz on an m2b. Suspension on the 1508's are pretty stiff. I've never had issues with them bottoming out but did get them stinky from time to time.
I'm sure that they will perform well in current box.
I'm waiting for the super 8's to be available. Will be running 3
in 4 cu on an m4 with an 8" aero.
Delivered the box to the customer today. He had the subs on hand so we threw them in the box. He's going to be wiring it all up this weekend. Can't wait to hear it!
How did this end up sounding Miles? I am contemplating doing subs up like this is. Was it still pretty loud for some 8s?
