Default My Super Budget Build

I'm cheap, so my goals for this build is:

1. Not spend over $1000 including the vehicle.
2. Hair trick.
3. Have a decent mids and high stage [ Never really messed with this end much.]

So here goes:

This is my exploder!
I got this by Trading a Sundown SA-12 D4 and a Soundstream TSX 2.600 for a 87 Ninja 600 with no title and needing rebuild. Traded for a 91 firebird formula, then on to a 1977 Nova, and now to this explorer.

Price of vehicle: $280 [$150 for sub and box and $130 for amp]

Alright from those bone stock pictures,
I picked up an Alpine IXA-w407 [$40 on craigslist]

Was told bluetooth didn't work, but all i had to do was hook up the saftey sh1t to get into the settings and set it up. Score!

Yes, you have to do the parking brake shuffle just to change your clock.
So I picked up a bypass module [$10]

I need to pick up the preout harness.. [ Next week] for now the subs are running off of a Line out converter..

Still need to put the dash kit in.

Total price so far with vehicle, HU, and bypass [$330]

After I got the headunit in, I decided that I had to find some real bass again and this just wasn't doing it, but it was free.

So, I got on the hunt and found a pair of Treo TSX 12"s, 2 amps and some assorted wire.

The 2250d worked great for about 10 mins. and then just quit. Never to play sound again. Smelled a little smokey as well..

So i had to downgrade to this:

Works great.. If you have a splitter [just happened to have one], one of the Input RCAs is busted off..

Traded 2 nitro rc trucks that i paid $50 for that needed some work

Total cost so far...
$380

Well, then I decided I just couldn't take the little amp anymore.
So I just happned to stumble on an Audiopipe AP30001d on ebay.
Said it half worked, but half is blown.. Took a chance and picked it up for $75 plus shipping [$90.00]

Got it after like a week and a half.
It has some blown output fets, but still works.
Set gains to about 1400w with dmm at 75% of HU volume

Gut shots coming soon

Total money spent at this point...
[$470]

Upgraded My battery a couple weeks ago..
Autocraft Platinum AGM 3 year free replacement.. - $179.. but had a online coupon code and a core.

Bought some wire on ebay.. [$30] Was supposed to be 1/0 OFC looks smaller and like CCA..

Dog chewed a couple of the longer strands..

I've had the Treo's for about a month and they dont ger as loud as I want. and no where near enough air..
So I got on the hunt for something new.. [Craigslist!]

Well. My search ended today

Went and picked up this: Sundown SAX 50.4

No wire for bass knob though.
On to the other stuff.

Free box of wire!!

And the cherry on the top?
These!
2 Audio Technix Stratos D4 18s

^~mm port.

The Raptor ?/0 - 30
Battery after core and discounts -139
The rest?
..... $250

So Right now as my 'sploder sits in my garage
$889... [getting dangerously close to budget tho..]

Plans that I still need to do and want to do..

I need some real 0 gauge.
Need to find some door speakers.
Need to do the big 3 asap, may just use raptor wire for that..
Bigger Alt..
Sell Treo's to pay for alt. so that way alt is technically free..
0 guage run to back, currently using 4 guage cause It's all i had.

Just got the woofers today, no time to play with them, If they're not moving air as planned, then They'll be going in a 4th order wall behind the rear seats.. [Probably will shoot my budget.. but.. who knows.]

This is where I'm at as of right now right now.
