Default 2007 Civic Trunk Class project

I am about to embark on what I am sure will be an expensive yet worthwhile journey. My build will be a trunk class build; probably build to dB Street Trunk, and USACi Trunk 1001+ and Stock 1501+ rules. I have a McIntosh powered front stage and KickerZx1000.1/JBL GT12 sub-stage. The front stage will remain powered by the Mc's (425 and 427's). It is an Exodus Anarchy/ Vifa front combo. I am running an old school CDX-C90 and XDP-210EQ set-up. Currently running off of a stock battery, stock alt and a single run of KnuKonceptz 1/0 cable. The sub stage will be switched out for a yet to be determined 3-4kW amplifier. I am leaning towards a Sundown SAZ-3500, but still open to options. I am seriously looking at a pair of ETHOS 15's. My first step will be to upgrade the electrical.

This arrived today:

A Mechman 220A and 1/0 welding cable. The cables were closeout pieces. The KnuKoncepts is definitely more flexible, but it should get the job done. I may try the ultra-flex. I am adding a comparo pic of the 1/0 against monster 8 gauge.

Have you looked into tantric HDD 15's? We are about to do a trunk build with a pair of them.

I have not looked at the tantrics. The bad thing about a build is just when you think you've made a decision, something else tempts you. I will check them out, how much power would a pair require?

Whoa, 5K!! That seems like quite a few pounds of battery with a 220 alternator.

Hd's are 1500 watts rms rated. They will take more clean wattage than they are rated for...

They have a series for all kinds of power ratings... LD, MD, HD, HDD, SHD. Talk to "Murphy" on here, he can give you the info... he is the owner of tantric...

A few thoughts...I looked up the 2014 rules and noticed I cannot run 2 15's in USACi SB2, I could however run a single 18. I am really stuck on the idea of double 15's , but a single 18 would be no slouch. Is competing in the SB class that big a deal?

BTW, this arrived today; it is for the front stage. I already have a stinger volt meter, but I could not find another combo block.
