Default Ford Ranger Build American Bass

Ok guys this might not be a fast build log but it should be a good one. First thing I wanna say is im gonna post a couple youtube videos at the start of this log need a little help with mounting the second Machman alt and would like some feed back ifni am on the right track.

Ok so lets get started with what I have and were im starting
1. 2 Mechman HO alts 1st 240amp second is 270amp
2. 8 6 volt golf cart batts 1 batt = 2 group 31 batts so my batt bank will be eauivalent to 16 bats.
3. Double din cd/dvd player
4. Big 3 already done have all 0gauge wire for pos neg runs anl fuses ect
5. Going to run 4 or 6 ab xfl 15 NOT DECIDED ON BOX DESIGN YET (on there way soon)
6. I have 2 ab vfl 100.1 Need 2 more if I do 4 15 or 4 more if I do 6 15 not sure yet.
7 I have 8 selenium 6 and 4 selenium tweets getting ab vfl 350.4 for these

Ok so I think I listed everything I have and as you can see I have alot left tk get so this build wont be going super fast but I will stay onnit best I can. Tuesday I am rerouting the power steering pum resivor to make room for one of the alt so i will upload pics of that then. If yall have any comments suggestions on location of second alt I the ranger let me knkw I have never seen one with 2 alts.

Sorry I dont know how to.load the video so there in the youtube box thin.

Video one and yes I am a tard and cant operate my phone we filming. LOL

Here are a couple of youtube videos of the start of the build with alt location.

Ok have a little update still waiting on the 2 mechman alts to get here but I got the power steering rese ior moved it is mounted on a plate and I tapped in to o screw coming off the motor. You will see alot of zip ties and no its not redneck technology they are just to hold the power steering pum in the middle so they dont rub on anything but it does look crazy. LOL what us bassheads will do

Ok a little update got I alt in and mailed out to Mechman other ones on its way when it gets here it will be mailed of to get new plugs put in them and get a double plug so I can run both alts together to power my batt bank. Regulators being changed in them and one plug on the 230 amp one since it was for a Ford Escape need it to fit my ranger. Also got 2 throttle cables out of an old a couple old expeditions and a lawn mower throttle mounted under my steering wheel so when I do demos I can adjust the rpms by hand rather then using my foot all the time. LOL I know im lazy but thought it was a cool idea. I will get some pics loaded in a little wile.

That's pretty damn ingenious! Aside from moving the reservoir it's relatively simple and non-intrusive too.

Thanks man originally I was going to have the power steering pulley doubled up like a new YouTube video but after I realize the wobble would probably cause the bearings to wear out too quick in a power steering pump. I decided to come up with this fabrication took a little thinking but I think this is going to work for anybody that has an 04 Ranger this would work if they wanted to add a second alternator I hope it helps others. all I did was take a piece of cardboard made a template then cut it out of the piece of steel is the bolts are already made into the bracket off of the truck then got some threaded rod cut it fabricated the rest up simple as pie. once I have both alternators mounted and get the new belt I'll post more pics and a video of it this Thursday
