Default Town Car, Active 3 way, X8s 4th order.

Well I sold the jeep and bought my Grandfathers old town car. Tonight I ordered....
Pioneer 80prs
Two Silver Flute 8''s
Two Vifa XT25SC90-04
Two Tectonic Elements 3.5''s
PPI BA1000.4 to power the midbass ([email protected])
PPI BA1000.4 to power the tweeters and midranges([email protected])
Monoprice RCAs, a bunch of skrink wrap and techflex, Hundreds of feet of power/ground and speaker wire from skyhigh.

result of that divided by Vb( box volume)
result of that +1
square root that result
result of that multiplied by FS

Gonna keep an eye on this one for sure. What are you planning for speaker placement? I'm also interested to hear your thoughts on those new PPI amps. The last generation were supposedly killer for the price, but the fact that these are even less expensive has me a little leery.

i feel the same way. those new ppi amps are so tempting but so far they are unproven.

Well the 7k has proved very good so we shall see. The 3.5'' and tweeter will be in pods in the A pillars and the 8'' will be in the factory 6x9 location.

Are you prepared to vent those 3.5's if needed? My hertz hl 70's didn't like to be completely sealed.

for sub stage I'd run a 12" ampere sealed on 1krms. Mine sounds awesome.
