Default The Loud "Shoe"

Well, my since my Explorer decided to take a dump on me, I've had to acquire new transportation, and with that comes a new build. This time, I'm going to try to get pictures of everything going in it, as it happens, versus no pics at all of the last one until it was all in and done.

So, here's my "Shoe":

Not a bad little car, to be fair. Great gas milage so far. It's got room for a double din, although finding one I want will be a pain in the ****. I'll probably stick with my 9886 for a while until I can get myself a double din that meets my requirements.

Downside is the front speakers are 4", but they are mounted to a 6.5" opening, so with a 1" spacer, I can use 6.5" speakers, but I'm limited to around 2" of depth before I hit the window.

However, I do have this to work with:

This area in the A-pillar/dash is quite roomy. How roomy? This is an Incriminator Audio I65C mid sitting on the flat section:

I have some new gear coming this weekend, but first things first is to get a dash kit and wiring harness and get the stock piece of shit out of it.

Cheers

Mclaren mlm-600nd would be excellent for that mounting depth

Trunk. It is quite deep. The width and height aren't great, but my current enclosure will fit, which is 3 cubes net tuned to 30. Currently, I have a single IA Lethal Injection that I will use for a bit, then most likely an Ethos. Power for it will be a CT 900.1 until I can upgrade. The highs will be powered off an RF p250.2. The highs are a secret until I have them in my possession, which will be Saturday

Then later on, I am thinking of doing pods in that little space shown, and running those IA comps until I can get my hands on an amp to run active, then it will be Silver Flute/Vifa XT25's.

It'll be loud enough. You already know you'll be part of the build in one way or another. :P
