Default 6 Stereo Integrity ht 18s 4th order in a 03 Mitsudishi Outlander

Car audio is still somewhat new to me. I've wanted a big system since I was 10 years old. Recently I finally got a little money to do so, so I got 6 funkin sx 12s (%90 off sale). Of course it wasn't loud enough. So, I jokingly said I was gonna get 6 18s next. Well it happened, lol so I figured I'd share with you guys.

This was my first box build not beautiful, but it could hold a bottle in my window.

Slightly more cone area

The box almost finished... I will wrap the inside with something pretty eventually. This is the second box I've build, I've learned a lot in the process. Iamsonic designed the box and/helped me out a lot.

I'll have the port in tomorrow, (I closed the just the sealed section today and my car was basically a wind tunnel.)

Very nice subs, what amps? Is there a sealed chamber back behind those rear subs? Hopefully it connects with the sealed bottom chamber in front? Since someones gonna say it I'll say it first, the top and sides look bowed out but it just might be the camera. And maybe I'm wrong but that looks like regular plywood? Regular plywood doesn't have the rigidity for a sub enclosure. I understand trying to save a few bucks but don't cheap out now after spending $1000 on the subs. If you want to save money run mdf instead of birch or another hardwood. Your speaker baffle might not hold up. That is too much weight and force, instead of L-brackets put 2x4's lengthwise on the wall to support it in both directions. And instead of L-brackets in corners cut some 2x4's on a 45 they are stronger. And those are huge panels even 3 sheets thick I would think its still gonna flex. Is the top only 3/4 thick? How thick is your front panel?

I'm not trying to be a d--k just giving constructive criticism. I've been building boxes off and on for about 22 years and when I started, enclosure design was a trade secret. Did not have internet with all this information, it was alot of trial and error.

I was running a precision power ba7000 at .7, but last night it went up in smoke I really hope it didn't take any subs with it. Now I'm waiting for my gp3k to be repaired. Yes, they all share a sealed chamber. I'm sure the plywood will be fine, I got it for half the price of MDF. a few inches behind the spray foam on the top is 1" thick mdf that I PLed to my roof. The box doesn't budge. The front is 1.5" mdf. If I made the whole box out of mdf it would be too heave for my vehicle. So far there is no box flex, and my roof doesn't budge.

It might bow I had to use a jack to separate the walls more so I could get the top piece on lol idgaf its solid

Ok, now your scaring me with those jacks Metal does stretch and when it does it won't go back. I hope you didn't pop any welds or seams on your roof.

Dont worry, I only used enough pressure to bend .5" mdf, and left the jacks in for a day.

Good luck sir.
I recently upgraded my HT to a HT 18, and needless to say, I'm never going back.
