Default Pontiac G6 build

The start of a new build. Dealt with mostly main brand subs because I was kinda scared to try the new ones. Well here comes the list of what's going in the G6 this time. Going for 150dBs on music!!!! Let's attempt this.

2 12" Sundown Audio Zv3s, custom built
1 Ampere Audio 3800.1
2 XS power D3400
XS POWER D925
Pioneer DEH-80PRS Headunit
Ram designed box, crafted by myself
Subs and port facing in towards the cabin of the car, sealed off by fiberglass
Amp rack in trunk wheel well, batteries on the each side of the box.
Knukonceptz wiring, rca, and fuses
Mike Singer 220amp alternator
Front stage setup: 4 Silver Flute W17RC38-08 6-1/2" Mids (2 on each door) and Vifa NE25VTS tweeters.
Front stage amp will be a PPI Phantom 900.4

Let's see how this goes. Pictures will be uploaded as soon as my buddy and I get started.

Nice list Of stuff. I think it might be hard to get a 150+ on a 3800.1 out a trunk.

I'm gonna try. Tbh I'll be happy to get somewhat near 150.

I was looking into an alt for our 09 g6 and the description I read said with a new alt it will always read on the dash that there is something wrong with electrical. Is that the same with this alt or did they find a way around that with this alt?

Nope. Unless the company that's making you the alternator has the pcm connector for it..but in my experience...that is practically 0% chance of you finding a company that can do it. The pcm on the g6 will only allow the voltage to go to 12.9volts for some stupid reason. So in order for the alternator to "turn on" and charge your batteries, you have to bypass the pcm, which means connecting it to your 10amp starter fuse. Sucks, but it has to be done else your alternator won't do jack to your batteries. The side effect of doing this will throw your battery light on because the PCM cannot read the battery voltage. Only way to get rid of it is by tearing your dash apart and pulling the battery light out from behind your dash. And that my friend....is a bitch.

You can also build a resistor pot to run in line with the pcm wire. Pcm still sees 12.9 or less due to the resistor and Alt can charge as high as internal voltage reg allows. No battery light.

Picture of the car...I'll get another one. I have no idea where all mine went.

2009 Pontaic G6, 2.4l engine.

Well, had to upgrade the shocks and struts before I can even start the build. So lifted her up and found something amazing... Fricking engine mount is starting to go bad. Oh well. Good thing is that it's a cheap repair.

Well here's the front struts. Was too busy wanting to kill my car to take pictures of the back.

Some of the sexy toys are starting to make it's way to my home.

The pioneer DEH80-prs

So sexy

And the P.o.S installation kit. (I hate these cheap ass things)
I'm gonna most likely plasti-dip it blue before installing the headunit.

This badboy just came in today. Such a beast
Ampere Audio 3800.1

And these little guys will be my battery bank (will probably either buy another or upgrade to 2 d3100)

Got some more goodies in the mail.

The vifa tweeters. Heavy little things

The silver flute mids. They're heavy as well. Nice magnets.

All my KnuKonceptz Karma SS 2 and 4 channe rcas and fuses. Already got a nice supply of 0/1 gauge and 4 gauge power wire.

Currently looking for another pair of subs. The last brand...well their customer service sucks.

Got to working on it this past weekend. Pain in the balls, I'll tell you that right now.

Three sets of wires through the boot of the door, just attempting to get the wires through the boot..was painful..then trying to get the plug out of the door..was even more painful. But..Both doors got down. I was pissed off on the driver side door that I didn't even take a picture of it.

I would think I would get a break after that painful part, but, nope. Car decides it want to be a ****. Had even more troubles running the wires through a plastic holder that was holding all the stock wiring, literally had a clothes hanger, which kept getting stuck half way on both sides. All I'm going to say is that I am probably not going to be doing anymore to this car...wire wise.

Got the kit and everything for my radio. Wasn't cheap, but I bought it anyways..just to find out it doesn't fit. So after about 25minutes of soldering wires together...my radio finally goes in. (Had to do modifications to the dash installation kit, since it didn't want to clip in)

All the wires in the back for preparing of the subs, amp and box.

The batteries are in there temporarily, bus bars will be ordered sometime soon and 2 more d3400 added.

Next weekend will be plasti dipping the trim, rims, and grill.
