Default Crown Victoria 4th Order Build

Been working on other peoples builds and finally got a chance today to start my rebuild. Im doing a 4th order bandpass with two zv3 15's on a ct 4k @.5. Electrical is 4 g31's j's 275 amp alt 2 pos and 2 neg ofc 1/0. The box will be 3 cubes sealed with 1.5 lbs of polyfil per cube and 9 cubes ported. 130 sq in. of port @ 47hz. The subs will be firing at an angle up towards the port. So far I have all the panels cut and will be building the port tomorrow hopefully. The box will be assembled in the trunk. Not much progress but will post a couple of pics anyway.

Have a couple of questions guys. When building an external slot port, how large should the exit be? Should it be the same as my port height 7.5''? The port dimensions are 20'' wide and 7.5'' tall.

My second question is when inverting subs do I wire them as I would normally and switch the pos and neg on the speaker terminals?

A little more progress today. I got the port done.

Batteries wired up.

Back, bottom and port in but not together. Just test fitting.

Ok. Things just got real. My trunk will not close. Decided to cut and drop the front of the trunk pan but need to cut a little more to get the front of the box to sit flat because I still need a couple more inches to close it. I am also going to have to notch the trunk lid but Im gonna make it work. Lol.

Wow You could have cut the corner off and put a piece on the inside cut a 45 to seal it. The volume lost could have been made up with some polyfill stuffing. Good luck cant wait for vids.

Before you cut anymore metal try to beat it out with a hammer it will stretch. Mark where its hitting and just cut out that spot then fiberglass over where you notched it out.

Tried beating it first. That was a no go. Have some more cutting to do to the pan and some deck lid modding to do. Didnt want to mess with the box. Probably illogical but it is what it is. Got a buddy that welds so we will work it out. Havent had a chance to really work on it from working on other peoples stuff.
