Default First build posted here on CACO, something for my shop

Moved my sheet metal shop to my small little shed/garage 800sq feet. Have been slowly getting things put into place. Decided to take a little time and put some bass in the new place.

Have had the reciever, computer and speakers setup and playing for a while. I just added a 1.5 cube box tuned to 34hz and put my old 10" Type-R in it. Put my EP2500 amp out there to power it until I can pickup a cheaper lower power amp to keep out there permanently.

A few picts and a vid for your enjoyment.

Laid out the port on the top, cut the pieces to length and assembled the port. Rounded over the edges then glued and stapled it to the top. Shot it with a little primer before starting the install.

Mounted to the rafters. Thats right its going in the ceiling

Cut out the sub hole and mounter the face to the assemble with plenty of glue and staples with a couple of screws to secure it good and tight. A few clamps keeping things tight untill the glue sets up.

The frankencomputer, my low end Pioneer receiver and the amp all ready to go.

Shot the box with some texture paint then wired and mounted the sub.

The only thing that sucks is that its to small. Just enough room to do my work. I have tools under the benches that I cant use because I have no place to put them. All my woodworking tools are outside now, no place to put them either. Its hard to build anything big in there. I have to do all that outside now.

If Im lucky I may be able to add more space and put a real roof on the place next year.
