Default New sub, new enclosure.

Well I got sick of reconing my Soundstream XXX 15, so I opted to pick up an entirely different new subwoofer. I found a DD 9500G motor for a good price (thanks Tuan!) and promptly sent it to DD to be built into a 15! I opted for the 8" dry carbon cap and dual 1.5ohm coils.
Blueprint:

As soon as I received the sub, I pulled the XXX out of it's home for the last while and dropped the DD in. It sounded great and I was able to beat my goal of the season, which was a 145db. I ended up being able to pull a 145.1, so I was stoked! I'm not necessarilly a number chaser. I prefer a nice front stage with a mid 40's sub stage. I enjoy competing, but it's not everything to me. With some more tuning and the new enclosure, I should be able to possibly pull higher numbers. Possibly. We will see tomorrow...

^^Not all that impressive, but I'm happy!
I don't have any build pics, because I get involved with the build and don't really care.
End product:

I've been playing the sub for the past week and I've still been kind of babying it. However, it seems like at higher volumes and lower frequencies the sub bottoms out. So I fiddled with the subsonic filter a bit, and I think that may have been my problem. I'll tune it some more and keep playing with it. I'll throw it on the Termlab tomorrow and post results! I'll be happy if it's still in the 145 range.

That's what I thought. I thought that there was a bit much acoustic suspension for the power given. However, the impedence graph shows a impedence spike (rise) at around 25hz and another spike around 50hz. Otherwise it's fairly broad.

I'm definitely happy with it so far. Full burps, my voltage drops to mid 11volts. Not bad, but I feel like I need to reinforce it still. I've been playing around with my buddy's TermLab. I can consistently pull low 145's (i.e. 145.1, 145.2 so far) and bassrace a 139.9 easy. I've been practicing bassrace, I have two 139.9 runs under my belt. Pretty happy with those. My goals of this year were to pull a 145 and to bassrace a 139.9. I've done both, so I'm stoked. So time to up the numbers...
I have a negative run of 1/0 I will be throwing in when I get time. I actually need to install my SAX-100.4D and start tuning my front stage. Decided to go active. I need to scoop up some 16awg speaker wire. I'd like to run 14awg, but I haven't been able to find a whole lot of quality wire at a decent price. Knu Konceptz Karma 16awg is pretty competitively priced. I am also contemplating gutting my interior and running all my wiring properly. Also thinking about TechFlexing all the wires... Actually more than likely TechFlexing everything. Also planning on making trim panels, getting Fraze to make me a plexi logo, trying to get some SPV70's from bumpin buick, rebuilding my false floor, and rebuilding my amp rack. All in all, pretty much a full rebuild may be happening. All the same equipment and enclosure, just more aesthetics. I'm extremely happy with my horn.

I've been lurking the DIYMA forums too much... That's how I found the SAX-100.4D for $50 less than anyone else on here.

Thanks everyone!!!
