I got my new speaker wire for the mids ran yesterday, I got the RCA's all installed, remote wire ran, and made the bussbars for the rear batteries. Today I got the under hood bussbars made up, I just need to have my buddy weld the tabs so I can actually mount them to the batteries. they will sit just like they are in the pictures but about 1/4" higher. The extra material hanging over is what will be cut and used for the mounting tabs so don't worry about it being ugly LOL...

the plexi is 1/4" and is actually the exact same size as the amps mounting tabs because I am just planning to screw the plexi to the tabs and then flush mount it...

Also, I just realized I only need 3 terminals on the negative bussbar under the hood because I am only running positives to the back. I am going to have the runs from the front battery to the frame and then a couple from the frame to the engine block. Then of course the rear batteries to the frame (also three runs there). I know everyone likes the negative runs as well but I think with a full framed vehicle I will be OK, the cadillac was actually grounded to a pinch weld and it worked great for 2 years so...

Already did the mids... the TRC.6n's didn't fit in the front at all, the hit the window guide. However, I actually took the plastic ring off of the stock speakers and used them as a spacer and then they fit perfectly, that is about 1/4" thick so you could fit roughly 2.25" mounting depth without any spacers.

The rears I thought fit fine until I rolled the windows down and they stopped with about 4" to go LOL... I am going to be doing the same thing I did up front for the rears. There is a good amount of space between the speaker and the door panel. Even after I put the 1/4" spacer up front there is a good 1/2"+ of clearance. I will be taking pictures when I do the others tomorrow so you can see what I mean if you don't get what I did.

just did a little pictorial for fun... also measured and the spacers are 3/8". Also that mounting depth was based on the TRC.6N's having a mounting depth of 2.6" and I know I only needed about 1/4" more clearance. I just used adhesive to mount the spacer ring to the factory deals and then screwed the speakers right into those rings. the got nice and TIGHT, no stripping or anything, that plastic is thick!
