Default Review:Damp pro second skin u might want to see the vid

I had a chance to try out some of Second Skins Damp Pro. I was ready to install it the day it came in. Temp in the house was 75 and outside temp was 93. The product was in the house for at least 6-8 hours b4 I started to peel the backing. All this hype about second skin I was pretty excited to to see and hear the results. I pulled the first sheet out and attempted to peel the back off and thats when everything went down hill. It was a pain in my ass trying to peel the backing. watch vid. I have other vids but I was cussing.

Now once i learned to jerk the backing to get it semi off it downsized the time to 2hours to peel and stick 6 pieces. Other then that the product stuck well and seemed thicker then the other companys. The question is.... why was it this bad and are they all like that?

Odd, I had fatmat in my garage in fl at least 90 out there. Was out there for about a month and I did not have that issue. Must be something up with that batch or something. I have not used SS my self in my install but have seen it and never seen it do that.

This isn't fatmat.

I just installed 70sq feet of ss damp lite in my car last night and not a single sheet stuck like that. I think it was a batch issue, did you contact second skin?

I understand, but that comparison really doesn't apply. I didn't have that problem with fat mat, but I had adhesion problems with it and the stupid blue logo wiped off all over my clothes and hands.. lol So apples to apples.. I have damplifier and never had an issue with that.

He was replying to the posters question, asking if all of them are difficult to peel off.

I got some damp pro also the other day, no issue for me. I think you may have had a defective batch. Try talking to Ant from Second Skin, he'll know what to do.
