This is an absolute bargain of a component set. Originally sold for $299 at crutchfield, then midwest electronics had them for a whopping $60 shipped!!
Lets begin with the construction, the tweeter is a 1" soft dome with lots of weight to it, it doesn't feel like those cheapie ones you can get with a low end set. They feel and look very comparable to Rainbow CAL25's, the similarities do not end there to the CAL25's.
The midbass' are very impressive. 3" voice coil, thats right 3"! carbon fiber composite cone, and butyl rubber surround with a very nice neo magnet.
The sound is very very detailed, they are a bit in your face so if using the crossover provided the -3 db att is recommended, or putting the tweets down in the kicks off axis is always an option.
I have them installs in my crx right now, tweets in the kicks and mids in the doors. The tweets have amazing detail they are not bright down in the kicks, mounted off axis. I am super happy with them. The set can take 150+ rms and I only have 70 rms going to each side, they are craving more power! They do sound good off not that much power, but they are definitely capable of big power handling.
