Default I will never buy cdt evvverrrrr again!!!!!!

I am relitavily newer to the car audio scene, a little >1year. But I'm pretty knowledge able and if i have questions i talk to my close friends that got me into car aduio. But onto my review. When I was picking a set of components to run in my 98 passat, i was looking and finally found a pare of CDT-cl61 with upgraded tw24 tweeters. Now they worked great for the first day i suppose. Then i started having problems. I would turn it up high and after aobut a minute the tweeters would cut out. Now these have power handeling of 130, but i was throwing less than 75 at each side and they were still cutting out. Needless to say after just keeping them in after 3 or 4 months i started to smell something in the back of my car, and i thought it was my sub so i checked all that out. Then I went on an hour long trip and had my vol up at roughyl 35 on my deck. Not that loud. I turned my sub down. And i smell it again, then when i got to my destination i looked down and the xovers were fried. Idk how that oculd have happend. Needless to say i replaced the xovers that came with the set with IDs and they sound great and dont cut out, and havnt had a prob since. But eather way good brand maybe, but i however will never purchase again.

My buddy orderd a higher end set like a HD set and received it and within a week of having them in the lead tore from the speaker and he sent it in for repair, Never heard anything back, never got any calls, Called them they didnt know what he was talking about.

Also a buddy of mine's cousin got the same set as me, and experianced the dropping out of the tweeters, but after we found out the problem, we took them out ant put them in his beater. and picked him up some IDs
