Default Audio technix 80mil ftmfw

ok guys here is an review and pics....i have to admit coleman....you def have a hell of a product! i am glad i made the right choice and went with Audio Technix and not some other false "top quallity" stuff.

so i went over to my boys shop today to install some of the 80 mil i purchased from AUDIO TECHNIX...my buddy that was helping install it cut his finger pretty good on it that it didnt stop bleading for almost half an hr. we got the entire inside gutted out and got a layer down on the front section of the floorboards before calling it a hot and sweaty day...this will be done on the entire cab section and doubled up in areas... will also be putting a layer on the firewall as well....shit will be done right!

the review and pics....

pros:

customer service is 100,000%... very quick to respond to PMs emails and phone calls..straight up top notch service!

price is outstanding compred to other companys deadner.

the adhesive is something else....one of the most aggressive adhesives on deadners i have ever installed...i had a section just lay on an area i didnt want it and it was hell trying to get it off...

the new backing that is on these (compared to the first run of 60mil which is no longer used) is super easy to get off...it was over 90 deg out today and it peeled off like butter...

really easy to install and work with...just make sure where you put it is where you want it...my buddy screwed a spot up and went ahead and rolled it (retard...)...shit was NOT coming off...

cons:

so far only con i ran into was with the blade gunking up with the adhesive due to it being so aggresive causing it to be difficult to cut the material at times...i found it helped by scoreing the material first

i havent ran into any smells from the adhesive like you get from other "top quallity" brands out there...after i got done for the day and went home window were all down since i have no ac and havent been back out to the vehicle yet...i will update on this if it does happen...

hope this review helps anyone thinking about trying Audio Technix.

ok well onto the pics!

the vehicle: 2000 explorer sport 4x4

completely gutted out

front section of the headliner out

some done up front

first layer down on the floorboards up front. the stuff you can see on my door is old CHEAP shit called B-quiet

i can tell you that you wont be dissapointed in it...i personally feel IMHO that it is better than second skin and fat matt and most of the otherr "TOP" brands out there....but this is MY honest opinion.

stretch you said there was no smell with it or at least nothing heavy like you get with other deadeners. another write-up it said that there was a really strong smell and that coleman was checking with them every day to see if the smell had reduced or gone away.

was there a strong odor when you were in it driving?

i missed your full question...sorry bro...yes there was a case were there was a shipment that went out that did have a smell to it...but IIRC it was due to it getting packaged up to quick and shipped out with out having time to "air out?" i could be mistaken on this fact....but i do remember something about that being posted and coleman was checking DAILY on it. that is straight killer customer service right there.

i read the whole thing. even with windows down after doing a complete vehicle ive always had to deal with the horrible smell with several deadeners i used over the years. when i was still involved with all of it i would just leave the interior out other than bolting needed seats back in until my trucks/suvs would air out
