Here is my review of a pair of American Bass SQ-t2 tweeters. Here is a link to the actual product...
I am not sure what a teteron dome is but I figured I would give them a try.
Vehicle is a 2011 Nissan Frontier with the stock stereo. I am running the stock HU through an Audiocontrol LC6i with 2 soundstream amps. I won't bore you with the details but I have Rockford Power series 6x9s running off the amp in my doors and the tweeters are running off power from my stock HU. Other tweeters I have tried have been the stock ones (sound pretty decent but not too loud), a pair of dayton 2.5" home audio speakers, CDT 1" silk (one was blown so I don't have a full set to compare them to).
Looks: 8/10 Nice fit and finish. I don't like the swirly grill but they are hidden in my truck anyway. Decent build quality (funny that American Bass products have a sticker on them..."made in China").
SQ/Clarity: 8/10 I am no expert but these sound good to my ear. Not quite as clear as the CDT tweeters but definately louder. Plays nice midrange and highs. Some people might say these are a bit harsh but I am not one of those people. I like my tweeters to sound bright so I think they are nice and bright
. Was suprised how low these actually play too. These may even sound better if given clean power from an aftermarket amp.
Power Handling: 10/10 Don't handle a ton of power but then again they are not a super tweeter. I am impressed how good and loud they sound off stock Nissan HU power.
Build Quality: 9/10 Look well put together. Lots of mounting options. Nice inline crossover included.
Price: 10/10 $39.99 shipped to my door.
Overall: 8.5/10 Not quite as good as the 1" CDT silk tweets but very close IMO...at 1/3 the price...including the crossovers which CDTs do not include. I hate basing reviews off of "for the price they are good" but these aren't just a good bang for the buck, they are a very nice sounding tweeter at a bargain price.
Bought these from 060gon who is a service provider on here. Check him out with any other questions.
