the resting impedance doesnt mean anything, so much comes into play, box size, type, tuning, vehicle resonance, temperature, etc. Not to mention the impedance isnt flat across the board at EVERY frequency, thats why its called nominal impedance, it pretty much means 'average', most newer amp dont have protection circuits like older amps so it will let you run it at whatever anyways till you burn it up

this topic comes up about once a month

here is a random impedance curve graph, this is usually the speaker not broken in free air too, so its going to change, it may also change once the coil heats up, it may also change when put in an enclosure, then into a vehicle cabin, etc. Catch the drift?

Thats why when people are like oh my gee, my amps will run at .25 ohm I laff

"Dual 1 voice coils from fi are really d .7 and wiring parallel is .18"

If the subs say d1 and fi's are really d.7. Then why are they called d1?

if you go to their site you choose d1 or d2 option but when you look at the specs down bottom the tell you dual .7 or 1.4, they call them that cause most people that buy fi and other higher end brands know what they are looking for, and at and read the specs,
