Default JS 275 amp alt, saz 3500, Tantric 18s

I just got everything in on Thursday and still playing with it. Setup is a 275 amp 6 phase hairpin from JS Ultimate alts, SAZ 3500 V1, 2 Tantric Acme3 18s, and 4 redtops. Its flexes real good but I need to brace the box better and add another baffle. I am also wired at around 1.7 also. Here in the next couple weeks im going to drop it down to .33 or whatever. I need to turn the subsonic filter up a little too.

Looks like you for sure need to wire that puppy down, but get better electrical before you do. 12.1 off 1.7 nominal isnt looking too good.

Everything else is nice though, damn good start! box is clean too.

Thank you. Yeah I'm going to wire down when I seal of the rear side windows. The voltmeter shows 12.1 but I'm actually getting 13s and the amp. I haven't routes my voltmeter wires yet so I have 25 feet of wire on each lead and I am loosing a volt. I haven't seen below 12.5 yet and only seen that maybe twice. It holds pretty consistent at 12.8-13.1.

I'm also not real sure if I am wires to 1.7 either. I just threw that number out there because that's what I believe is what it is wires too.

That makes a lot more sense. I was wondering how you were in the 12s wired at.. well,.. higher than .5 haha.

How do you have your subs wired? If youre not sure you can always bust out the multimeter.

Okay just so happens sears was having a sale so I picked up a meter. I am wired at 2 ohm. I am dropping to about 12.4-12.5 after about 2 minutes at idle. It stays there and doesn't drop anymore. I played for about 10 minutes straight and that's as low as it got. I just need to figure out a way to bypass this charging system on my vehicle. It only allows the alt to charge at around 13-13.6. Thats why I am only getting 13.x to my amp and battery bank.

Thats not bad, honestly. No offense but ive never had much faith in optimas, but its your build i respect it. Just hope you got a damn good deal on those puppies.

Not sure how you can bypass it unless you put a shunt in the line. I avoid electrical on anything past '00.

For now, youre doing fine on voltage, especially to be idling, in my opinion.

I get them for free. I am a mechanic in the military and they won't let us recharge the batteries which is stupid, so we have to replace them. A few of us from the shop take them home and recharge them, I got these from one of the guys that did that since I don't have a charger.

Honestly, I can get some anytime I need them. All I have to do is write up a MAF/repair order for dead batteries.
