Default 50s From The Trunk: 2 Z v.5 15s & Taramps HD15k

Been a while since I posted, so here's an update vid of where my build is at. 2 Sundown Z v.5 15s custom built by Brian Chamberlain at Sundown. They have SPL cones, X v.2 spider packs and 8 layer D1 EMF coils. Running on a Taramps HD15000 at 1 ohm rising to 3.8 clamping 6k. Amp is fed by a JY Power 80ah Lithium and a Custom Electric Services 340 alt.

Enclosure is a 2:1 4th rear deck blow thru built by my teammates Joel Walker and Phyllip Coleman at Soundpressure Designs. It's tuned to 42 and has 112 square inches of port area.

Burping a 152.4 at 30hz on the glass with driver's door open. Holding the current ISPLL Subsonic Suicide Trunk 2 world record 151 2 min average at 28hz. Still have work to do in the box, another power run front to back and upgrade the dual inputs on the amp to triples. There's a 54 in it, just got to find it.

Have you tried burping a .25ohm your electrical should handle a burp and the amp should too just dont try playing music. That or add another hd15k and wire each to .5 they should take that on music.

Honestly only like to meter how I daily. Just don't like to claim a number I only did one time by changing something in the setup. I have considered running 2 amps at .5, but it would be the Taramps Bass 8 or 12k if I did. They are .5 stable. As of now, if the work inside the box and the electrical upgrades don't get me where I want to be, that is the plan. Either go back to a Korean 10k-ish amp at .25 or do the 2 Bass 8 or 12k at .5 per sub.

I wish I can do a 4th but trunk is small even literally taking up all the trunk I got only 8cu.ft after displacement but what's the ported chamber volume or box dimensions to see how close or far am I from a decent 4th

My car is only 7.5 cubes net and I have 2 15's in there. It's not crushing numbers but I only have 5kw going to it and it sounds incredible. Within a DB from 28-36hz

No kidding, that's a big box! The most room I can get in my altima is a little over 7.5 cubes. Maybe I can squeeze 2 12s in a 4th with this space lol

Well I did some number checking and I have a bit more length between the sub and the rear seats and being that the sub will be in the enclosure I can do 3 sealed and 6 port with bracing with external port in the rear deck aswell just would have to graph it, so gotta get a computer and load up bbp6 and check

Dope! I also like the fact that you said you won't claim a score you can't pull all the time. Very dope build I've always thought about buying a Vic just for music. They just seem like they'll get loud.
