I just finished building this today. TC4LM motor, 12" TI basket, D2 Aluminum roundwire LMS coil, 4 med linear spiders, .75" spacer ring, quad sewn in leads to the bottom set of spiders and sandwiched between the spacer ring so their hidden, 12" white honeycomb nomex cone, full cover inverted poly cap.
I must say, I have had the most fun building and testing this out of all the drivers ive ever built. This is one amazing sub! I couldnt even get it to reach xmech and i was already at 3" p to p easy. So, heres some pics and a vid of the excursion. Sorry there is no sound on the vid since my mic in my camera took a crap. BTW, this is going to rd4me. I think he will enjoy. I know i did. I literally beat the shit out of this thing, blew the original cap off, replaced it with a full cover and way stronger joints, went back and reinforced all the ca joints on the spiders, and reinforced the cone throat with rubberized epoxy.
It loved every second of it and never complained once about getting smacked down!
Powered off a crown ce2000 @ 4 ohms for about 800rms freeair. The amp can produce 1950w mono at 4 ohms but i didnt wanna try that extreme~!
First part of the video is a track off Mystikal Unpredictable and at 1min 12 sec it switches video to where im just playing a 10hz tone. Thats when it gets good!
Another sick vid of a different sub on page 3. Massive excursion!
