So .7 just swapping subs nice.....You said you shrunk the box down in vid 4.....can you say why?? Just curious but .7-1 db is the norm from a reg sub to the sc option.

Ive been doing the back to back testing started out at 4 cubes net with 60" of port. Then shrunk down to 3.5 net without changing port. Then shrunk to 3.25 again without altering port. Every time I have done that both woofers have gotten louder. Which im not sure if that has had to do with the smaller chamber volume or it could possibly be the chamber volume to port area ratio getting larger.

Probably getting more power from less impedence rise every time you shrink it. Do the subs sound any different on music??

yeah, they are doing a wider variety now that I shrunk it down. Still hit the lows pretty good, but not as good as when it was bigger. Sounds way better on rock and some dubstep now. Before it was pretty much only a Decaf loving setup lol.

This is why I could never SPL. I like my lows way too much. I'll always have a monster box.

I think it's the combination of less impedance rise and volume to port ratio. Im sure if you left it at 4.0 cu net and increased port to 17-18 u would be a lot louder.

It would be nice if you could run the test again once SC sub is more broken in to see if it changes results

I had to go to Kansas and back this weekend, so I had a good 15 hours of play time breaking that baby in some more. Ill be taking some more vids in the next few days to see if it did get louder. It sure sounds louder!

And Im thinking I want to try 3.75-4 cubes with 20" per cube.
