Well the first day of Dropfest has wrapped up and I must say I was super impressed with how both of our teams performed, some great scores today and a great time even though the weather did suck. Below is a list of results from competitors and their highlights.
Patrick Simmons - 141.3
Dbdrag SS 1-2 NW
We literally threw the amp in at the show and it was not set at all, great score and still holds tons of potential.
Aturcotte - 12x.xx
Aaron kinda got the raw end of the stick today, I was unable to provide a battery for him and his amp really pulled current so it shut off I beleive three times during his bassrace run, he was unable to place but it was still great having him out their and repping. With a good battery or maybe a alt
he will be right back up to where he was no doubt.
Sleepy Jr. - 150.5
Dbdrag SS 1-2
Martin had some real interesting runs today, first run was 150.0 to qualify. Then going up against Brandon Rossi he forgot his gain was turned down and did not pass him until the last two seconds of the run. From their he went up against another member who he walked and went to finals against me, after turning up his settings a little he pushed out a nice 150.5 and took away the gold.
Alex - 149.3, 147.6
Dbdrag SS 1-2, Bassrace 149.9
Alex had a great day as well also being his first DBdrag sanctioned event. He was consistent with low to mid 149.3s. Made it to semifinals against me where I barely budged him out. The real excitement was in Bassrace 149.9 in the finals round Alex went up against Stewie who has a car that burps almost two decibels higher. The first roung was a dead even tie at 147.6. The second time Stewie won on the start and edge out Alex. It was a great performance right to the end though.
Me - 149.8, 139.8
Dbdrag SS 1-2, Bassrace 139.9
I was in SS 1-2 along with Alex and Martin and we sweeped the field with about ten competitors in it. Semi-finals I beat out Alex with a 149.3 while he had a 149.1. At finals Matin pushed out a 150.5 while I was not able to get past a 149.8. In bassrace I had a few runs at 139.9 but most ended at 139.8. After going through the brakets I was down to the finals with Corey J. we had a blast and both tied at 139.8 then on the second run i hit 139.9 with two seconds left and turn the volume down
. Ended with a 139.7 and Corey had a 139.9. Tommorow I am trying to tweak some things, maybe wire to 1ohm so I can bassrace the van in the 149.9 class.
Congrats to everyone on their successes and it was great to really have us get out there as a team and represent. I appreciate everyone involved for showing up and supporting, many more to come.
