Unhappy 1000c4 heat issues?

Anyone have heat issues with this amp? Ima float it off the floor n take two fans n have them blow across it.hopefully thatl cure it. I purchased it new from a buddy who's a crescendo rep, I have gains set to 1/5th and bout 25 mins of tilt the thing will fry your face. Sounds great but MY GOD.... 2 ohm stereo.. actually 2.4 per chn... Sitting in middle of trunk with nothing else in the trunk . Input from stereo is 5v. Just seeing if others have this issue. It does have a turn on pop that some others had. With fans n floated should be fine but man o man it scares me. Voltage never sees past 13.4 on average. Only down to 12.8 when sitting awhile.. th,

Now... If I only use 2 chns at a time at 2 ohm it won't get as hot... It's odd.

So you have it bridged at around 2.4 ohm or is it just two channels running at 2.4 each with the other two unused?

So you're just using two channels? Nothing is hooked up to the other two?
