Default CCX65s In Home Use (PC)?

Was wondering how CCX65s would do if I bought/made bookshelf style boxes for them to use as PC speakers. For music and gaming use.

Would it be worth doing?

They probably would, if they weren't discontinued.

I hear they have a new set in the works though, but don't quote me on that! Lol.

They should work great. most comp sets will. dont make the cabinets too small though asmost car comp sets are made to play in a open door environment aka lots of free-air space.

Any recommended box sizes? Should I port them, or keep sealed?
I have two sets, one with regular tweets, one with CTS-1s. Thinking of doing a 4.1 setup, unless I can find something cheap/decent for a center channel.

depends if you want that low end out of them or not

But seeing that they're phase plug style, ported.

Are there T/S specs out there anywhere for them that I can plug in to winisd? Does winisd work for non subs?

Yamaha has 5.1 HT recievers that are 4 ohm stable, at 160w "dynamic" so Im guessing 80-100w rms, which would be perfect for them.

Thinking of putting the front left/right set in one large enclosure, that I can set my monintor on to minimise desk space they take up. Then use the other two in indivual boxes for surrounds.
