Default SMD DD-1 and CC-1

Has anyone ever tuned their bass clef amps with any of these? I have the DD-1 and CC-1 and I tuned the amp as instructed. I set the gain with the -15db track for spl and I tried the -5db track but wasn't impressed with the performance I was getting out of the amp. I never tried -10db. I set the low pass filter to 80hz, should I tune it a little higher like at 100hz? I mostly listen to rap but I do listen to some alternative music every now and then. I never set the subsonic filter because I want all the low lows I can get. Oh and by the way I have the BC2000D.

I use my bc3500 @-5dB and love it, -15dB is gonna have gain WAY to high and you will be clipping on every rap song

but at -15 it hits hard and sounds good, like there is no distortion. I'll try -10 and see what happens...

fact is most rap songs are around -10dB, many are louder than that... anytime you play bass thats louder than the tone you set gains with you are clipping

its takes 20-40% distortion around 40hz for it to be audible to the average person, think that one over

-5 is meant to sound the best with the least amount of distortion. -15, like has been said before, will tend to clip on a higher level of recorded bass such as most bass heavy rap. -10 will possibly still clip moderately but is a compromise between sounding good and being loud.

messed around with the lpf a couple times and I would say that 80hz is perfect for my setup so try that
