Default Half Ohm Questions

How does the half ohm warranty work?? Is it for wiring the amp nominal below half, rising to half ohm for power?? Also, I am considering running a bc 2k at .5 nominal. Will the big 3 up front, kinetic 2400 in the trunk, and new stock battery under the hood, with all xs flex ofc wire be enough electrical??

im pretty sure the warranty is for .5 nom ( edit the warranty is optional i believe), and your electrical is ok for a 1ohm nom load on a bc 2k

What would I need to add for a .5 nom load?? Also, I asked because I noticed on their clamp numbers on the first run of bc, they used .25 nom load to achieve the 2150 watts.

The BC line isnt warrantied to .5 I dont believe, the old line was. But Im sure they had issues with people wiring to .5 with essentially no electrical blowing amps and asking for warranty exchange...

As to your electrical, how big is your alt? I ran a bc 2k at .5 and blew it because I wasnt as careful as I should have been

Right now, its a new stock 130amp; however, I'm looking at either a 220 or a 270 amp. And they do offer the warranty, it just costs now.

That's the dilemma, it would be too tall to fit under my hood. Would a smaller one still do the job in combination with the 24 in the trunk??

you could put a smaller battery upfront to replace the stock one, something like an xs925/975 or xs1200

Kool, with the alternator. Also, according to xs, I can fit a d6500 under the hood. Would matching a kinetik with an xs battery be ok?? I think a Kinetik 1800 would fit on it's side; would be a tight squeeze though.

.5 nominal. That amp will smoke hard at .5 reactive.
