Default Power rating Crescendo BC2000D @ 0.5ohm?

Hey.

Thinking about ordering this amp, but before I do, how much would the power output be on 0.5ohm?

you will NOT be coverd by warranty running at 1/2ohm
and there is all different variations that come into play on rms power
impedance rise voltage drop etc
id say MAYBE 2500ish if you have electrical to supply it

Yep, I know about the warranty. I have tried calling them now for the last couple of days and send them a few mails. But haven't managed to get in contact with them.

So if someone knows what a BC2K does at 0.5 ohm I would really appreciate it.

I have seen people think they do 2300-2400W rms, but would like it confirmed.

Edit: I have a dual 1 ohm PSI Stage 3 sub, so I have to go for 0.5/2ohm, and I can't afford a 2000W+ @ 2 ohm amp now.

Just talked with Crescendo, and they told me 2900W rms at 0.5ohm and 13.8V.

you wont get that much power guaranteed. your gonna be wired at .5 ohm nominal but with impedance rise it will rise to probably 1ohm atleast.

i have got 2300w clamped with a .75 reactive starting voltage of 14.4 droping to 11.5 and 2100 with a .66 reactive and drop to 11

Your Rise will likely be much higher, could be as high as 2ohms or more

this is at .5 nominal on a 12v setup stock alt three batts

Of course, you will get box rise either way, with all amps and all setups. But these numbers are good to compare this amplifier to other amps.

Like, I was wondering about the Lanzar Opti2000D which is $100 cheaper. But since the BC2k can deliver 50% more than the Opti, my decision suddenly became much easier.

DO IT! I run mine at .5 daily. They dont even break a sweat. Then again I have fans and risers. But a noticable difference from 1 ohm for sure
